#000000;\"><i>Stolen property and property the possession and receipt of which has been transferred by theft or by extortion or by robbery and property which has been criminally misappropriated or in respect of which criminal breach of trust has been committed is called stolen property.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Explanation\ud83d\udc47<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>\ud83d\udc49Property the possession of which is <\/i><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>transferred by theft or by extortion, and property which has been criminally misapplied or in respect of which criminal justice has been breached, <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>is called stolen property, whether by transfer or misappropriation or breach of trustmade within,<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>\u00a0or taken out of India, but if such property subsequently falls into the possession of a person who is illegally entitled to the possession thereof, it shall cease to be stolen property.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 14pt;\"><b>Following amendments were made in section 410:\ud83d\udc47<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>(1)<\/b> In the Act of 1891, the word &#8220;offence of&#8221; is repealed by s. 2 of 12 and Schedule I and s. 9 of Act No. 8 of 1882.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>(2)<\/b> Ins. by Act No. 8 of 1882, s. 9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>(3) for the words &#8220;British India&#8221;,<\/b> substituted by the Indian Independence (Central Act and Ordinance Adaptation) Order, 1948, Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950 and Act No. 3 of 1951, in section 3 and Schedule respectively<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b><i>According to the words of\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b><i>the Indian Penal
