👉 प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस हर साल 9 जनवरी को भारत सरकार द्वारा हर्षोल्लास से मनाया जाता है । इसी दिन सन् 1915 महात्मा गांधी जी दक्षिण अफ्रीका से भारत आए थे। प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस मनाने की शुरुआत लक्ष्मीमल सिंघवी के द्वारा शुरू हुआ था तथा प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस मनाने की शुरुआत 2003 से आरंभ हुआ तथा पहला प्रवासी दिवस 9 जनवरी 2003 को भारत की राजधानी नई दिल्ली में आयोजित हुआ था। भारत आज ही के दिन विदेशों में बसे प्रवासी भारतीयों से जुड़े विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं जिन्होंने देश के विकास में अहम भूमिका निभाई है।
- पिछले साल भारतीय प्रवासी दिवस कोरोनावायरस महामारी के कारण वर्चुअल ई आयोजित किया गया था तथा इसका थीम” आत्मनिर्भर भारत में योगदान” पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा दिया गया था
- भारतीय प्रवासी दिवस साल 2003 आयोजन हर साल भारत की राजधानी दिल्ली में दो दिवसीय 7 से 9 जनवरी तक होता रहा है, इस दिन प्रवासी बड़ी तादाद में एक साथ कार्यक्रम का आयोजन करते हैं ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि प्रवासी भारतीयों को अपने ज्ञान, कौशल, विशेषज्ञता तकनीकता, को साझा करने के लिए प्रोत्साहन तथा एक मंच मिल सके।
- भारतीय प्रवासी दिवस में साल 2015 में संशोधन करके यह 1 साल में ना मनाने की बजाय 2 साल में सिर्फ एक बार भारतीय प्रवासी दिवस मनाने का प्रस्ताव रखा गया, जिसके बाद आयोजकों ने यह निर्णय लिया कि अब आगे के कार्यक्रम को थीम आधारित रखा जाएगा।
- ऐसे सम्मेलन दुनिया के हर हिस्सों में रहने वाले प्रवासी भारतीय वर्ग को जोड़ने में बहुत ही सफल और उपयोगी साबित हुई है तथा उन्हें विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अपने अनुभव को साझा करने में सक्षम बनाती है।
- पिछले साल राजधानी दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी द्वारा प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस की 16वीं बैठक में सम्मेलन वर्चुअल तरीके से आयोजित किया गया था
- पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेई जी ने प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत 2003 में की थी इस अवसर पर आए तीन दिवसीय कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जाता है तथा इस क्षेत्र में विशेष उपलब्धि प्राप्त करने वाले भारतवंशियों को सम्मानित तथा पुरस्कृत किया जाता है
- इस दिन को मनाने के पीछे यह मकसद होता है की अपरा प्रवासी भारतीयों को भारत के प्रति अच्छी सोच तथा भावना की अभिव्यक्ति देशवासियों के साथ अच्छा व्यवहार करना तथा सकारात्मक बातचीत के लिए एक मंच उपलब्ध करवाना एक जरूरी विषय है तथा विश्व में सभी अप्रवासी भारतीयों को एक नेटवर्क के माध्यम से बांधना यह भी इसका एक मकसद होता है
- भारत के प्रति प्रवासियों को पारिवारिक और प्रभावित करने के लिए तथा विदेशों से आने वाले निवेश के अवसर को बढ़ाने का एक बढ़िया अवसर इसके द्वारा प्रदान होता है।
